Development Program
Peewee Minor and above
A.
Select
Players training curriculum will be under the supervision of the
Massachusetts Hockey Player Development Committee and serve as an
extension of the Massachusetts Hockey/USA Hockey Satellite Training
Program.
The mandatory training curriculum provided by each team will
include a minimum of two (2) On-Ice practices and one (1) Off-Ice Physical
Training session per week and periodic classroom instructions. All
to be inclusive of program and tuition
B. Coaches will follow the Satellite Training Program
Policies, USA National training curriculum, and be involved in Continuous
Coaching Education prescribed by the Satellite Training Program. This will
include attendance of pre, mid and post season seminars annually when
scheduled. Peewee/Bantam head coaches must achieve or be working towards
USA Hockey Level IV Coaching Certification. Assistant Coaches must achieve
Level III Coaching Certification. Any question arising from coaching
level qualifications may be directed to the Select League
Registrar..
C A player’s first obligation will be to his/her Select
team.
D. Player rostering will be restricted by geographical
territory.
E. Select teams that fail to comply with the required
training curriculum will be deemed ineligible for Massachusetts Hockey
State Championship and National Championships.
F. All teams are to notify in writing their players and
parents of the Massachusetts Hockey Select/Player Development required
training requirements.
